Okay, here we go again, another Abyss cycle just dropped with 4.1. Took a look at the lineup for Floor 12, and honestly, it didn’t seem too crazy this time, but you never know until you get in there.

First Half Strategy & Run

So, for the first half, especially Chamber 1, I saw those consecrated beasts again. Ugh. Grouping is always nice there. Then Chamber 2 had the Algorithm boss, pretty standard single-target check. Chamber 3 looked like more waves, some with those annoying elemental shields.

I figured I needed something reliable, good crowd control, and decent single-target damage. My go-to thought process usually starts with what’s comfy and strong.

I decided to put together this team:

  • Neuvillette
  • Kazuha
  • Fischl
  • Zhongli

My thinking was: Neuvillette handles the main damage, especially good with multiple enemies lining up. Kazuha groups everyone up nicely and buffs. Fischl provides off-field electro for reactions and good particle generation. Zhongli just makes everything easier with his shield, less dodging means more attacking.

So I jumped in. Chamber 1 went smoothly, Kazuha pulled them in, Neuvillette blasted them down. Zhongli’s shield kept me from getting knocked around by those beasts. Chamber 2 against the Algorithm boss was straightforward, just needed to break its invisibility phases quickly, Fischl and Neuvillette handled that fine. Chamber 3 waves were also pretty manageable, just had to make sure Kazuha swirled the right elements for the shields when needed. Overall, pretty clean run for the first half.

Second Half Strategy & Run

Alright, the second half. Chamber 1 had the infamous Coppelius ice/wind duo. Gotta bring pneuma/ousia or just brute force it, but hitting the right element helps stun them. Chamber 2, okay, the new experimental generator boss. Another single-target fight, seemed like it might have some annoying mechanics based on previews. Chamber 3 had more waves, including those underwater guys, the breacher primus things.

This half felt like it needed strong single-target damage and maybe some survivability, especially for that Coppelius dance.

I went with this team:

  • Alhaitham
  • Nahida
  • Kuki Shinobu
  • Yelan

Why these guys? Alhaitham is just a beast for single-target and even cleave with his Spread reactions. Nahida provides massive dendro application and buffs. Kuki is essential for hyperbloom and healing, super comfy. Yelan adds more hydro application for blooms and great off-field damage plus ramping buff.

Hopped into the second half. Chamber 1 against Coppelius took a bit of focus. I didn’t specifically bring Lynette or Freminet, so I just focused them down with hyperbloom. Kuki’s healing was really clutch here. Chamber 2 against the new generator boss wasn’t too bad, honestly. Mostly just a damage sponge, dodge its main attacks, hyperbloom did its job. Chamber 3 with the breacher primus dudes required breaking their shields, but dendro cores made quick work of them. Yelan’s burst helped chase down any stragglers.

Final Thoughts

Got the 36 stars in the end. Wasn’t the hardest Abyss ever, but definitely had a couple of spots where you needed the right team or good execution. The Neuvillette team felt super smooth on the first side. The Alhaitham hyperbloom team continues to just destroy everything on the second side, very reliable.

Overall, pretty satisfied with how the teams worked out. Didn’t need too many retries this time, mostly just getting the feel for the new boss in 12-2-2. Glad to have it done for another couple of weeks!
