This here LA Times crossword, it’s a real head-scratcher, I tell ya. Just decide, just decide, they keep sayin’. Well, ain’t that the million-dollar question? How you s’posed to just decide when you got a whole mess of letters starin’ back at ya?
My granddaughter, she’s real good at these things. She says it’s all about knowin’ the words and how they fit together. She calls it wordplay, somethin’ like that. Fancy word for just knowin’ your words, if ya ask me.
Crossword Clue: Just Decide
First thing you gotta do is look at the clue real good. “Just decide,” what’s that even mean? Sounds like they want an answer, and they want it now. I reckon it’s one of them short words, maybe four, five letters. The clue is “just decide”, so that’s what you gotta figure out.
Now, they say these puzzles got themes. Like, sometimes they’re all about animals, or food, or places. This one, I ain’t too sure about the theme. Maybe it’s just about decidin’ things. Who knows with these fancy newspaper folks?
- Look at the clue: Just decide. What’s it askin’ for?
- Think about words: What words mean “just decide”?
- Count the letters: How many letters in the answer?
- Look at other clues: Do they give you any letters?
If you’re stuck on one, try another one. That’s what my granddaughter says. She calls it cross-referencin’. Sounds complicated, but it just means lookin’ at the other clues to see if they give you any letters for the one you’re stuck on. Makes sense, I guess.
She also says to pay attention to the tense and number. Now that’s somethin’ I understand. If the clue is in the past, like “decided,” then the answer’s probably gonna end in -ed. If it’s plural, like “decisions,” then you’re lookin’ for an -s at the end. Simple stuff, really.
LA Times Puzzle Every Day
They got a new one of these puzzles every day, you know. Midnight, they say, Eastern time. That’s 9 o’clock for us on the West Coast. I don’t stay up that late, though. I like to get my puzzle in the mornin’ with my coffee.
To solve it, you gotta click on the clue or the little box in the grid. Then you can type in your answer. If you get it right, the whole word turns gray. If not, well, you gotta keep guessin’.
This “just decide” clue, it’s been in the puzzle a few times, I reckon. I seen it before, or somethin’ like it. They say there’s a bunch of possible answers. Forty, maybe? That’s a lot of ways to say “just decide.”
I saw on the internet that there is one possible solution for it. Guess a lot of people have problems for “just decide”. And, this clue is also included in LA Times Crossword April 25 2024 answers. This is what I know.
Don’t Be Afraid to Guess
Sometimes, you just gotta take a guess. Ain’t no shame in that. You can always erase it if it’s wrong. That’s the beauty of these online puzzles. Back in my day, we had to use a pencil with an eraser, and it got all messy.
Don’t be afraid to ask for help, neither. That’s what family’s for. Or friends, or neighbors. Anyone who’s good with words. Two heads are better than one, as they say.

Most important thing is to just have fun with it. It’s just a game, after all. Don’t get too worked up over it. If you can’t figure it out, just move on to the next one. There’s always tomorrow’s puzzle.
Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta get back to this “just decide” clue. It’s still starin’ at me, and I ain’t givin’ up that easy. I might just decide to have another cup of coffee while I think about it.
